This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of applying modeling techniques through group guidance to improve the growth mindset of students at SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of six ninth-grade students selected through purposive sampling based on their low growth-mindset scores. Data were collected using a growth mindset questionnaire based on Carol Dweck's theory, covering six aspects: motivation, attitude, challenge, grit, adversity, and positive mindset. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, a paired sample t-test, and an N-gain analysis. The results showed that the average score increased from 62.6 on the pretest to 81.7 on the posttest. The average percentage across all aspects also increased from 53.83% to 81.83%. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Furthermore, the N-gain score of 0.73 (73.35%) indicated that the intervention was effective in improving students' growth mindsets. Keywords: Modeling Technique; Growth Mindset; Group Guidance.
