Abstract

Education is something that is open to everyone. It doesn't discriminate based on differences in race, ethnicity, religion, or the abilities each individual has. According to the 1945 Constitution, Article 28 Paragraph (2), every child has the right to survival, growth, and development, as well as the right to protection from violence and discrimination. To support the fulfillment of all these rights for children, education is the most fundamental right for a child to develop all the potential abilities they have. Every citizen's right to access education is also based on Article 31 Paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution. Inclusive schools bring regular students into daily interaction with children with special needs (ABK), requiring psychological and spiritual readiness. This conceptual article develops a framework concerning the relationship among locus of control, prosocial behavior, and spiritual intelligence among regular students in inclusive schools. The review uses a narrative literature approach and draws on foundational theories of locus of control and spiritual intelligence. The synthesis indicates that an internal locus of control is conceptually associated with students’ tendency to take personal responsibility for their actions, including helping behavior. Prosocial experiences in interaction with students with special needs may provide opportunities for value internalization, meaning-making, and self-reflection that are conceptually related to spiritual intelligence. The article proposes a three-stage model linking locus of control, prosocial behavior, and spiritual intelligence for subsequent empirical testing. Because the study does not employ field data or statistical analysis, the proposed relationships remain conceptual and should not be interpreted as causal effects. The framework may also inform peer-support and reflective activities in inclusive schools.
