This study aims to describe the implementation of family education and analyze the challenges encountered in shaping children's religious character in Dukuh Margoluwih, Daleman, Tulung, Klaten. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Participants were selected through purposive sampling and included parents, children, religious leaders, and community leaders. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data credibility was established through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that family education is implemented through five main practices: parental role modeling, habituation of religious practices, cultivation of social and moral values, parental advice and guidance, and supervision of children's activities. However, its implementation remains constrained by several challenges, including limited parental time and supervision due to work commitments, the influence of digital media, peer interactions, and insufficient moral development within community religious activities. These findings suggest that shaping children's religious character requires consistent family education supported by the wider community to ensure that religious values are internalized and reflected in children's everyday attitudes and behavior.
