Program Green School di SDN Sudimara Timur Kota Tangerang

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Green School Program designed to create a clean and healthy school environment at SDN Sudimara Timur in Tangerang City, as well as to identify supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and the efforts made by teachers to overcome these obstacles. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data sources included the school principal, teachers, and fourth grade students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the Green School Program at SDN Sudimara Timur has proceeded quite well, evidenced by environmentally conscious school policies, an environment-based curriculum, participatory environmental activities, and the management of adequate supporting facilities. Positive developments were observed in indicators such as personal hygiene (PHBS), school environmental cleanliness, waste management, and student health awareness. Supporting factors included adequate facilities, teacher commitment, principal support, the participation of the school community, and parental involvement. Inhibiting factors included a lack of discipline among some students, the absence of a healthy canteen, and limited facilities. Teachers addressed these obstacles through measures such as establishing routine habits, raising awareness and motivating students, involving parents, and maintaining school facilities.
