الملخص

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of teachers in improving student learning activity in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. This study uses a library research approach taken from literature relevant to the research topic sourced from articles, books and other literature. Teachers have a role as facilitators, motivators and innovators. Student learning activity is one of the factors for success in learning. Thus, teachers are responsible for having a learning strategy that can create a pleasant and conducive learning atmosphere. In the subject of Islamic Cultural History, students are expected to be able to understand the concept of events or appreciate Islamic figures to remember how in ancient times they fought for the glory of Islam. The results of the study show that the role of teachers is very significant in improving student learning activity by implementing interactive and innovative learning methods. Such as group discussions, role playing and audio visuals have been proven to increase student learning activity.
