This study aims to analyze the influence of engine repairs and body kit improvements on the pricing of used motorcycle transactions at Obo Motor showroom and to examine these practices from the perspective of Islamic economic law. In the practice of buying and selling used motorcycles, repair costs often constitute a significant component in determining the selling price. However, legal and ethical issues arise when information regarding the actual condition of the vehicle and the details of repair costs are not disclosed transparently to consumers. Such practices may lead to unfairness, information asymmetry, and violations of the principles of honesty and transparency in commercial transactions. This study employs a qualitative approach using normative juridical research supported by an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through a literature review of Islamic economic law references and scholarly journals, complemented by limited interviews with business operators and consumers. The data were analyzed descriptively using a qualitative method by examining the conformity of pricing practices with the principles of Islamic economic law, including justice ('adl), honesty (ṣidq), transparency, the prohibition of gharar (uncertainty), and the right of khiyār (option) in sales contracts. The findings indicate that engine repair and body kit improvement costs may legitimately be incorporated into the selling price, provided that such costs are determined proportionally and accompanied by full disclosure to buyers. However, if information concerning the vehicle's condition and repair costs is deliberately concealed, the practice may constitute tadlīs (fraudulent concealment) and gharar, both of which are prohibited under Islamic economic law. Therefore, a more transparent pricing mechanism grounded in Islamic business ethics is essential to ensure fairness and protect consumers' rights in used motorcycle transactions.
