This study aims to analyse the effect of operational cost efficiency proxied by the ratio of Operating Costs to Operating Revenue (BOPO) on profitability, leverage, equity growth, and revenue growth in companies in the automotive and components sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2022–2025. The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the companies’ annual financial statements. The sampling technique utilised purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 10 companies with a total of 40 observations. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression with the aid of IBM SPSS, beginning with descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, the coefficient of determination test, the F-test, and the t-test. The results of the study indicate that BOPO has no significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), or Equity Growth (PE). Conversely, BOPO has a positive and significant effect on revenue growth (Growth). These findings indicate that operational cost efficiency has not yet become a key factor in improving a company’s profitability, capital structure and equity growth, but is linked to increased growth through operational expansion. It is hoped that this study will serve as a reference for company management in improving operational efficiency, as well as for future researchers to develop further research by incorporating other variables that influence a company’s financial performance.
